One of the oldest Polish churches and the oldest Polish cathedral (since 968), located in Ostrów Tumski in Poznań.
It is the burial place of the first Polish rulers and the presumed place of the baptism of Mieszko I. The present Gothic cathedral was built in the 14th-15th centuries, partially rebuilt after the destruction of World War II. The basilica is part of the monuments and attractions of the Royal-Imperial Route tourist route.
